DEPARTMENT OF AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING

Automobile Engineering covers the entire gambit of vehicle development from the design stage to the manufacture, maintenance and service of automobiles. With this in mind, the Department of Automobile Engineering was established in 2003 to train the students in the area of automobile engineering.

With this in mind, the Department of Automobile Engineering was established in 2003 to train the students in the area of automobile engineering. As an automobile engineering graduate you will be qualified to work in the development (manufacturing, design and analysis), priming of work, fabrication and observation of the functionality of vehicles for street and rail.

We at Automobile Engineering envision and constantly strive to provide an excellent academic institute which would offer need based academic program for students and members of the faculties to inherit professional competence along with human dignity and values to serve the society at large.

Mission

To impart the quality education in the field of Automobile Engineering on par with current industrial industry practices and thereby delivers industry ready graduates with high level of competence. To undergo practical training and to organize regular industrial visits for betterment of students and this may enlighten their carrier growth. The department provides vital knowledge and expertise in the field of automobile engineering and also it creates numerous job opportunities in automobile Industrial sectors.

Academics
Under Graduate

The objective of this B.Tech program in Automobile Engineering is to give students a broad exposure in the design, development and testing of automobiles. Furthermore, the program trains them to meet the technological challenges and diverse needs of the industry and society in various areas of automobile engineering and equips them to excel in a truly competitive industry.

Post Graduate

The PG program has been introduced in collaboration with the HAN University of Applied Science, Netherlands. This course provides students with a good theoretical base, sound practical techniques and skills.It prepares them for specific development and design positions, meeting national and international requirements.

Research Focus

Research activities progress in the areas of alternative fuels, Engine systems, vehicle dynamics and new trends in engine design.
