About the Department

The Department of physics of Bharath Institute of Science and Technology was established as a part of Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational trust with the aim of imparting higher knowledge in science and technology to the aspiring students so that they can emerge as competent scientists, engineers and technologists of repute.

The department encourages the student community to do research. Well-experienced and highly qualified faculty members are there to improve the research & development processes. The predominant objective is to impart quality education and enhance the placement opportunities of our students. Our thrust area of research is crystal growth, nanotechnology and computational drug design. Quality research articles were published from our department to the international research community which was evident by good number of citation.
